National Croquet CenterThe motto of the center is that the only requirement to participate is a good pair of flat soled shoes.  Croquet has long been a sport for Royalty and the elite, but in West Palm Beach, Florida you can join in an outing with as many people as you desire.

You see... unlike a foursome in golf, a Croquet match can have as many as 192 participants!  So corporate groups, bridal parties, bachelorette parties and even create a competitive tournament with other colleagues over a few wickets!

The club itself is a Florida Keys style clubhouse complete with private rooms for meetings, parties and dining events.  They can accomodate parties of up to 200 guests.

So if you're looking for some fun in the South Florida Sun and you want to try creating a team building event for your work or a leisurely afternoon with the chums....

Try it out for free on their Free Golf Croquet Days every Saturday Morning at 10am.... you might just become a member and make Croquet your Game!

Nick -- if you still have Caleb, perhaps you can take him there?????????   Or to one of the streets in your area?

FLAT Caleb is still here. He doesn't want to leave ;)  so you want me to get out of my sweet ride and stand in public some more to endure more humiliation? ok sure.. but you will have to pay for my meds once they send me to the hospital!  see you fruit loops later.

Ines - I went to a white party for an engagement in Miami - it was held on the rooftop pool of a hotel in South Beach - there was NO croquet there and now I'm mad

David, those white parties are very popular in South Beach, I've been to a couple myself (now....crocket on a rooftop...that has to be a site)

David,

You probably wouldn't remember, but that property was Patrick Nursery's ten years ago. In fact, that whole area on the south side of Summit from Fla. Mango to I-95 had been a nursery, then the Patrick family sold off a portion to build the development on the east side of the current Croquet facility.

Between the croquet place and Trump International, it really helped to add value to an area that was known for older housing, strip clubs and the Gun Club Hilton (the county prison). The nice thing about that area is that it's close to the airport and I-95 but just enough off the beaten path that it's a lot quieter.

David, Nice the way you took the Fruit challenge and made such an interesting post. Fred.. Hmm croquet..a replacement for guns, prisons and strip clubs. Now there's a concept.

Fred - no I did not move here until late 2003

I know that Gun Club Rd is still a bit rough because of all the construction etc... but they're cleaning it up right now.

Margaret... thanks!  Honestly, I saw Mango and thought of the road and so then I set out to find something interesting on the road to profile.  I never thought I'd find that facility!  Thanks for the support!
